About Robert "Bob" Weiss

Bob Weiss, 41, has been practicing in the Shelby County courts for over 14 years.  Bob received his B.A. from Bradley University where he majored in History with minors in Political Science and Philosophy.  Bob moved to Memphis to attend the University of Memphis Law School.  Upon graduating from law school, he practiced law with the Law office of Arthur Ray, practiced law with the Law office of Donna M. Fields, was a partner with the law firm of Keenan, Dabbous & Weiss and has been in sole practice for the last two and one-half years.

Throughout his career, he has represented parties from all walks of life, of varying economic levels, ages and backgrounds, representing every area in Memphis and Shelby County in domestic matters, personal injury, criminal, probate and contract disputes.  He has also devoted his time to representing children as a Guardian ad Litem in the Chancery, Circuit and Juvenile Courts in Shelby County.

Bob has been a member of the Memphis Bar Association for the last fourteen years. He served on the board of the Young Lawyers Division for three (3) years, serving as co-chair of the High School Mock Trial Competition every year. Bob is currently serving as Treasurer of the Memphis Bar Association - Family Law Section. Bob has also been involved with a number of non-profit organizations including serving on the Board of Ballet Memphis, serving as President of the Young Patrons of Ballet Memphis, Ptolemy Memphis, serving on the board for four years and served as King of the Krewe in 2008 benefiting the Children’s Charities Initiative.  In addition, he has coached the St. Agnes Academy High School Mock Trial team for the last ten years.

Bob has been married to his wife, Kimberly LeVan Weiss, for six years and has one son, Joseph, who is 2 years old.  He has been a resident of Memphis for the last eighteen years.
